Don’t forget about Charleston’s other dance corps, the Robert Ivey Ballet. We talk about the Charleston Ballet Theatre a lot, but this group also benefits from fresh talent. The troupe is in residence at the College of Charleston and offers its fall performance on Nov. 14-15 at 8 p.m., Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. The location is CofC’s Sottile Theatre. Ivey has been a Lowcountry institution for at least 30 years. He’s also a key figure for the Footlight Players Theatre. For more information about his dance company, call (843) 556-1343, or go to www.robertiveyballet.com. —John Stoehr

There's more to art than you think. It's not just theater, paintings, books and dance. It's the enterprise of human creativity and it takes vastly different shapes and forms. Here you'll find my thoughts about the arts in Charleston and beyond. Neither of us knows what to expect.
