Applicants for the S.C. Film Production Fund grant should check out producers’ seminar at Trident Tech on Aug. 16-17. Long-time producer Scott Pullman, who has worked on movies like Wonderland, Life of the Party, and the reality TV show Survivor, has been added to help lead the workshop. The seminar will cover the basics of production, like scheduling, insurance, script revisions, budgeting, and more. The program costs $50 for S.C. residents and $75 for non-residents. If the workshop inspires your drive to produce, the deadline for Trident Tech students to apply for the S.C. Film Production grant has been extended to Wed. Sept 10. It is an opportunity not to miss. —Alison Sher

There's more to art than you think. It's not just theater, paintings, books and dance. It's the enterprise of human creativity and it takes vastly different shapes and forms. Here you'll find my thoughts about the arts in Charleston and beyond. Neither of us knows what to expect.
