I was tooling about Google looking for ideas. I was writing a caption for a picture of Neckprov, the improv troupe performing at this year’s Charleston Comedy Festival. I came across a website chock full of “You Might Be a Redneck If . . .” jokes. On the list was this doozy. It appears to be scanned from an actual newspaper clipping. Who knows. Sometimes the internet makes tabloid journalism seem credible. UPDATE: On closer inspection, I noticed the NBC logo in the lower right-hand corner. Maybe this was on Leno. Must’ve been before the writers’ strike.

There's more to art than you think. It's not just theater, paintings, books and dance. It's the enterprise of human creativity and it takes vastly different shapes and forms. Here you'll find my thoughts about the arts in Charleston and beyond. Neither of us knows what to expect.
