Organic Process is an organization founded two years ago by Charleston-based artist/filmmaker Farrah Hoffmire and her husband, BookSurge instigator Mitchell Davis. The Process is dedicated to setting up memorable art and media projects such as 2005’s Pieces of Sanity, a group multimedia show at the Humanities Center on Rutledge Ave.
Recently, Hoffmire and Davis have been highlighting NO’s rough ride since Katrina, not least through Hoffmire’s documentary Falling Together in New Orleans.
On Wednesday Aug. 29, some of her work will be screened as part of the Process-produced Hurricane Katrina Campus Media Tour at the CofC’s Tate Center for Entrepreneurship on Liberty St.
An art exhibit will run from  11-4 p.m. with Hoffmire’s documentary screening at 7 p.m. Call 408-2303 for more info.

Truly- Farrah and Mitchell are the kind of people who inspire everyone who has the pleasure of crossing their paths. These ones carry that ‘role-model’ thing so well, yet are so humble and unassuming- most of us are affected without even realizing what happened.
With the immense brain power these two both possess- they could’ve done anything. And what did they decide to do? Give of their time, their energy, themselves; to bring awareness to one of the most important things NOT being taken care of in our country.
I do hope that the City Paper pulls through to highlight what Mitch and Farrah are trying so desperately to show us all- that individuals DO have the power to do great things, and help their fellow man at the same time.
Rock on you two…rock on.
